Pottery Classes! One to fit your needs.

This 90 minute class makes a great date night! Have some fun in the mud and learn how to create pottery on a wheel. This one time demonstration and hands on experience is for up to six people, ages 12 and up.

Completing a pot takes several weeks so this class is just for fun. If you want to create and keep a finished piece of pottery check out our other classes and pottery sessions.

A  four hour course on the basics of pottery, split into three classes.  Class #1 - (approx. 2 hrs.) creating pottery at the wheel. Class #2 - (1 hr.) trimming at the wheel.  Class #3 - (1 hr.) glazing your pieces..

This class includes everything you need. Class times are scheduled to accommodate your busy schedule.  This course is for adults and teens 14 years or older.

New beginners 11 WEEK CLASS Session -

This class is in conjunction or part of the 10 week session and is required for new students. This class includes everything in the 10 week class plus (1) - 25 lb. bag of clay and the two hour intro class.

Beginning students will start one week before the 10 week course. Limited to just four people, students will receive two hours of instruction and lots of help at the wheel before joining a 10 week class.

The first intro class may be scheduled at a different time than your regular 10 week class time.

10 WEEK CLASS Session

Up to 40 hours of studio time. - All students will register for a weekly class  time where they will receive 1 1/2 hours of instruction, help and demonstrations to improve their pottery skills.

The balance of your 4 weekly hours may be used before or after class or on a separate day.  This flexible schedule makes it nice for students to come in just once a week for four hours or split up their time and come in twice a week to work on their own during our open studio times.

Your finale two hours may be used up to one month after the last class to finish glazing after the final bisque fire.

Clay is  not included in the standard 10 week session but is purchased as needed. There will be a maximum of six students per class. This class is for adults or teens 16 years or older.

COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

Our wheels are spaced six feet apart for social distancing, however social distancing is not always possible while at the wedging table, sink or when glazing so a mask covering your nose and mouth are required if you have not been fully vaccinated.

The ActivePure System

We are proud to announce that we have installed The ActivePure purification system which has  finished clinical testing on the Covid-19 virus and has proven successful against the Covid-19 virus and other  RNA viruses  such as H1N1 (swine flu), H5N8 (avian bird flu), and MS2 bacteriophage; and it works to do so in the air and on surfaces.

Purification System Kills Over 99.9% of RNA Viruses

What exactly is ActivePure? Many people still think this technology is just another UV bulb, or a fancy air freshener, but nothing could be further from the truth! It is so much more. And it’s Green – no toxins, no chemicals, no sprays.

Brief Recap – ActivePure is essentially a dry Hydrogen Peroxide that is created from a reaction between a UV bulb and Titanium Dioxide. No, it’s not a UV bulb, it only uses one to interact with the Titanium Dioxide to create the dry Hydrogen Peroxide. This solution is completely safe (and actually very healthy) to breathe continuously.  It works continuously in air, on surfaces and through fabrics/textiles.

Myth Busters
– No, the contaminant does NOT have to pass through the unit to be treated. The air current acts as a catalyst to take the technology out to where the contaminate first appears…consistently
.– No, this isn’t UV technology. UV technology only deactivates bacteria (bacteria can reactivate). When they say their UV bulb “kills”, they mean far down the road from now, not immediately. ActivePure kills on contact immediately. Dead. Not “can’t reproduce” dead, but DEAD dead. Six feet under dead. Okay, you get the idea
.– No, it’s not harmful to humans. The technology is not strong enough to do anything to the human cell. It may just even help you sleep and breathe better.
– No, this is not new technology, it’s been around for a long time and has solid, science-based results globally.  Inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame in 2017.
